Filecoin Green 2022 ReFi Grants Recap

🌍 In helping build the nascent ReFi ecosystem, Filecoin Green sought to fund projects that transform financial structures with carbon-neutral, sustainable initiatives. Some of the areas of ReFi we were able to support included: dMRV, e-waste tokens, impact certificates, nature-based tokens, and more. Grantees included:

  • GainForest: Smart contracts for the natural world

  • CarbonX: Carbon Credit Marketplace Ecosystem

  • SaaS Platform to Analyze a Product’s Climate Impact

  • ES4D: A ground-up rework of chassis design using immersive and heat recovery technologies

  • GAIA Greentech: An intelligent reverse logistics management platform for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that provides an end-to-end solution to the growing problem of incorrect disposal of electronic waste in Brazil

  • Ostrom: Developing methodology and tools for DMRV of Natural Capital

  • NTFP Bioeconomy Facilities: Help Suriname fight deforestation by opening NTFP bio-economy facilities in collaboration with the local communities

We were also able to support SPs in building green data centers around the world, such as DCENT in Amsterdam and Twinquasar in Paris. This is just the beginning of our support for those building in the ReFi ecosystem by helping grow, enable, and foster the work being done.
