Filecoin Team visits China

This past week, members of the core Filecoin team attended a handful of community conferences and meetup events in Shenzhen and Shanghai, China. Over 1,200 community members attended the set of conferences and meetups, and ~30 volunteer community members presented about projects they are working on within the Filecoin and IPFS ecosystems.We’re so thankful for the community members that attended these events and the volunteer organizers in China that have built up such incredible communities around our technology. We look forward to getting to know you more in the future!

go-filecoin 0.3.2 released

We recently released go-filecoin version 0.3.2. This version includes new features like improvements in deal management and payments, added support for multiple sector sizes, and significant progress toward the goal of creating a network securely powered by verifiable storage. This release includes several improvements to performance and reliability. We also published our plans for the next two releases on our discussion forum here.

Filecoin at first IPFS Camp last month

The first ever IPFS Camp took place June 27-30 in Barcelona, Spain bringing together builders of the distributed web together for workshops, lightning talks, poster sessions and more.Check out @adria0’s session on Zk-Snarks & IDEN3 Circom Compiler and this deep dive on Scaling up the DHT, presented by @Stebalien@koalalorenzo and more.
