Prioritize end-to-end demos and solutions.
Meet people where they are (outside the Web3 bubble) and aim for 100x reach.
Engineering
Mission Outercore Engineering is a team dedicated toward building open source software. We build real production examples of the full Filecoin and IPFS stack so anyone in our ecosystem can learn from it.
Vision
In 2023 and onwards, we will focus on core tools, core implementation, and product research for the benefit of the ecosystem. We want to see an explosive growth in the number of successful companies in the ecosystem building on our stack in every digital product vertical imaginable.
Look Back
From what was originally just a team of three, we’ve grown to a team of over 14. In addition, we have built our first four-person team for Network Growth. These teams will help us support engineering teams across Outercore Ecosystem pods.
We spoke to McGill, Carnegie Mellon, UBC, UCLA, UofT, Stanford, York University, and many other companies to see where our technology fit and to learn more about how to grow Estuary.
Ever since Docker Hub became pay to use, we kicked off a project to create a decentralized Docker Hub and to bring more useful data to the Filecoin Network.
FILCTL is how Estuary makes Filecoin Deals, and now the technology is available outside of Estuary.
Look Forward
We are already seeing a number of startups use our products to build their business and draw investor attention. We want to continue this trend.
We were impressed by the large rounds raised by some of our users. To date the valuation of companies we support is over a total of $800 Million USD.
We did a Petabyte in 2022, we’re going to do more in 2023. When we can do this level of storage, anyone using Estuary to build their business can too.
IPFS gateway retrieval is the way we support users who have already uploaded data to Estuary. We want to make sure that we support this caching layer while people depend on us to get their data.
